I did my BP adventure in London and we did 'real life monopoly'. We were split into teams and each had to choose a team name, and make a 'mascot'. We then spent the day travelling round London (we were all provided with travel card things we could use on any transport) and had to go to as many of the places on the monopoly board as possible, taking photos of our mascot at each place, getting points for each of them- some, we had to be creative with, such as 'electrical works'. There were also some extra challenges, such as 'take a photo of your mascot with its friends'.
We didn't have to go to all the places, just as many as possible, and the team with most points got a prize- our mascot met an Abercrombie & Fitch model when we got distracted by shopping. Hi - for information on costs and to order travelcards can be found at the link I would go for the off-peak (after 9.30am) as is cheaper. Also I would build the cost of adult fares into the overall cost, as you say the event wouldn't happen without you. I would think that most of what you want will be in zones 1-2 but would go for at least 1-4 to be on the safe side as is only another 70p, but check the map to make absolutely sure. All the children's tickets cover all zones anyway and under 11s go free. I've run one down in Brighton for the last two years, was a bit busy with BBB this year so stepped down from the organising team this year and I'm not sure they're doing one but it was well received and the girls enjoyed going around on teh buses. We want to invite more groups from across the county next time to be able to offer bigger and better prizes.
